I graduated with a Master's in Computer Information System from Boston University. Notable projects that I have worked on include an Oracle Database of a warehouse model and a repository of diagrams for building an application from the ground-up. From networking diagrams to business case write ups, I've had the chance to work on practical academic projects and labs while interacting with faculty. The opportunities presented to me provide real value in that I use regularly inside the workplace.
On an academic excellence scholarship at the business school, I committed to perform my best work inside and outside of the classroom. An involved participant on campus, I served as Chief of Staff and Vice President of the business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. Later, as a Team Lead for Enactus, I would visit the New Beginnings Women's Shelter to teach weekly professional development classes. As a result of our efforts, our service project was presented at nationals in front of thousands. Lastly, I've excelled in my finance and accounting courses while managing part time jobs and an internship outside of school.
While not included in my formal education, I'd be remiss to leave out my workplace experience serving in a leadership position with the Houston Young Professionals Group. Since 2016, I served as a Professional Chair and later took up the position of Marketing Chair. Events I have helped coordinate include a CFO Lunch and Learn, Resume/Interview Sessions, and various talks. Along the way, I formed wonderful connections with my peers across different departments at AIG. Outside of learning about Finance Ops, the experience gained within this group was invaluable.
